CONSTITUTION:This mechanism is a blank original detecting mechanism constituted of a blank original detecting part 6a which performs the scan of an original by moving an image reading part 3, and is provided at a digital image information reader which reads the image signal of the original, and which decides whether or not the original is a blank sheet of paper based on a read image signal, and a pre-scan control part 9 which controls the movement of the image reading part 3 when the pre-scan for the deciding operation of the blank original detecting part 6a is performed at a speed as fast as possible such as the fastest speed corresponding to linear density or the most fast speed on specification, etc. |
