PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize the position of a component with one time image pickup by an image input device to reduce the recognition time of the component position detection resolution equal to the conventional resolution. SOLUTION: The method of recognizing the position of a component that is to recognize the position of the component 1 that is a recognized object provided with two marks 4 and 4 with a predetermined distance between them by a image input device 2 that is provided with photo-detecting surface. An optical device 8 that is provided with a pair of the planes of incidence with the predetermined distance between them and a pair of outgoing planes that are arranged corresponding to the width of the photo-detecting surface of the image input device 2 and formed with light path of zigzag by the combination of prisms and mirrors between the planes of incidence and the outgoing planes is used. Each of the two marks 4 and 4 is received by the two planes of incidence of the optical device 8 and the received marks are photographed by the photo-detecting surface at the two outgoing planes simultaneously. |
