PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the presence of a customer in a relatively wide range without providing a human body detector. SOLUTION: In the case when an automatic vending machine is installed in a company or the like, on conditions that all the users a have PHS portable terminals, one (PHS repeater 2) of repeaters used for them is installed near the automatic vending machines 1. Then, by utilizing the terminal equipment position registration function of PHS, the information of whether or not the PUS portable terminal is present near the PHS repeater 2 is received from the PHS repeater 2 and thus, whether or not the customer is present near the automatic vending machines is discriminated. Based on the discriminated result, the lighting and put-off of an illumination device for illuminating the automatic vending machines are controlled. Also, the individual identification of the customer is performed from the telephone number, the amount of sugar and cream to be added to coffee is adjusted and advertisement contents are selected. |
