摘要 A differential automotive gear has four gear wheels which can accommodate a wide range of change speed ratios. The four gears are arranged in the axial sequence (X-axis) of first gear wheel (A{SYMBOL 218 /f "Symbol"}1), second gear wheel (A{SYMBOL 218 /f "Symbol"}2), fourth gear (A{SYMBOL 218 /f "Symbol"}4), and third gear (A{SYMBOL 218 /f "Symbol"}3). One centre of the common spherical surface, which passes through the segment-diameter of the first and second gears, is aligned with the centre of the common spherical surface running through the segment-diameter of the fourth and third gear wheels. The centre is used as the point of origin O. One XY co-ordinate is located within the point of origin O. The axis line of one of the input shafts is on the X-axis of the Y co-ordinate. One touch-point between the first and second gear wheels A{SYMBOL 218 /f "Symbol"}1 and A{SYMBOL 218 /f "Symbol"}2, and one touch-point between the fourth and second gears A{SYMBOL 218 /f "Symbol"}4 and A{SYMBOL 218 /f "Symbol"}3, are located in the same quadrant of XY co-ordinates. The first to fourth gear wheels are located on the same axial direction surface of rotating element 3.
