PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incinerator which is advantageous in cost as well by sufficiently lowering the discharge of dioxins while simplifying equipment and related manual work. SOLUTION: In an incinerator 1, a heat recovery part 2 such as water wall is provided on a wall thereof 1, a shield plate 3 is hung down on the surface thereof so as to allow adjusting of a heat transfer area of the heat recovery part 2 by lifting or lowering with roll 4 and hence, the heat transfer are of the heat recovery part 2, namely, the lifting or lowering position of the shielding plate 3 is controlled to maintain the temperature in the furnace above 1,000 deg.C, higher than generates dioxin while a combustion gas obtained is quickly cooled by water cooling at a quick cooling tower 6. Thus, the gas passes through a temperature range of 250 deg.C-240 deg.C in which the re-synthesis of dioxin is facilitated. |
