Releasing memory in image processor for page printer during duplex mode

The method involves detecting a note indicating a duplex condition threshold that is fulfilled for a strip of a page of image data. The strip is prescreened to form a prescreened strip, on detecting that the threshold is fulfilled. The prescreened strip is processed to plan the memory saving for the image generation device (10), relative to a display list with which the prescreened strip is associated. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for implementing the process.
