The circuit uses a diode (D) and a series capacitor (C) connected in parallel with the electronic switch (Se) that is used for disconnection of an inductive load (L). The main current path of a transistor (T) is connected in parallel with the capacitor. The control electrode of the transistor is coupled to a control circuit (R1,R2,Dz), with a voltage divider (R1,R2) across the transistor main current path. A tap-off terminal (KA) is coupled to the control electrode via a Zener diode (Dz).
