A rotary drive mechanism for displacing the stick possesses a shaft (10) crosswise to the displacement direction. A transversely curved band (G) resistant to pressure and pull winds onto the shaft as connection between the shaft and the holder (2) for the stick material. The shaft has a cog-wheel (15) driven by a turning handle (5) at the end of the twist-and-push stick, by means of a right-angle gear drive. The grip-sleeve's (1) inner wall (6) has a gear rim engaging with the shaft's cog wheel.
