The inclined screening surface (2) has a decreasing incline in the conveyor direction of the material. One or more rows of pressure elements (4, 11) are provided to exert a static and/or dynamic force from above onto the screen face. The pressure elements are arranged evenly spaced along the screen surface and can have supports. An elastomer layer is preferably set between the pressure elements and screen surface.
