<p>A liquid heating vessel (2) comprises a vessel body (10) having an opening (32) in the base (30) thereof and an enclosed base unit (36) closing the opening (32) in the base (30). The base unit (36) comprises a heater for the vessel, a thermally sensitive control for the heater and an electrical connector for connecting to an external power supply. The base unit is releasably mounted to the vessel body (10) whereby it may be removed therefrom by a user to allow easy cleaning of the vessel body (10) and base unit (36). The vessel (2) may further be provided with locking means for locking the vessel body (10) in position on the base unit (36).</p> |
