PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a new generator-motor unit which can be formed in constitution at a low cost capable of utilizing an existing power train and capable of utilizing an existing production line, and by which a starter and an alternator can be disused while increasing generated capacity and improving regenerative capacity. SOLUTION: The generator-motor unit is interposed between an engine and a speed changer. The unit has a torque converter (a), a housing (c) covering the periphery of the torque converter (a), a hydraulic clutch a1 and an electromagnetic clutch a2 mounted in parallel in a manner that the state of the lock-up of the torque converter (a) can be formed, and a stator b1 fixed on the inside of the housing (c) and a rotor b2 installed to the rotary element of the torque converter (a) while being opposed to a stator b1 at that time, and a generator- motor (b) fitted in a manner that torque can be given and received between itself and the rotary element of the torque converter (a) is set up. |
