PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively exhibit improvement effects in the bondability of an active material by forming irregularities on the surface of a collector. SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an electrode 8 for batteries and capacitors consisting of a collector 1, having a surface provided with asperities and an active material layer formed on the surface provided with asperities of the collector 1 through the application of paste made by blending the active material, a binding agent and a solvent to the surface provided with irregularities of the collector 1 and drying the paste, comprises the steps of successively applying a solvent having compatibility with the solvent to the surface provided with irregularities of the collector 1, and applying and drying the paste. |
