PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium which ensures higher reliability because of the improved weather resistance of a translucent reflecting film and the enhanced adhesion of a reflecting film to a substrate. SOLUTION: The optical recording medium 6 has a 1st information layer 9 on the side on which light 8 for reproduction is incident and a 2nd information layer 10 on the other side. The translucent reflecting film 3 of the 1st information layer 9 comprises a thin AgPdCu alloy film containing 0.5-3.0 wt.% Pd and 0.1-3.0 wt.% Cu or a thin AgPdTi alloy film containing 0.5-3.0 wt.% Pd and 0.1-3.0 wt.% Ti. At a wavelength of 650 nm, the optimum thickness of the thin AgPdCu alloy film is 5-18 nm and that of the thin AgPdTi alloy film is 5-18 nm. At a wavelength of 400 nm, the optimum thickness of the thin AgPdCu alloy film is 10-25 nm and that of the thin AgPdTi alloy film is 15-25 nm. |
