PURPOSE: To prevent liquid from leaking out of a pump by a method, wherein an air outlet valve is constituted of two valves arranged mutually in front or back and an air volume is enclosed between the two valves. CONSTITUTION: Air is sucked into a pump chamber 21 through a passing opening 27 of an inlet V1, when it is pulled out of a piston rod 16 by operating a pump handle. When it reaches the end position, the piston rod 16 is pushed upwardly, a rear part of the pump piston causes an annular rib 24 to be abutted against a seal cone section 26 to form a seal there. The air enclosed within a pump chamber 21 passes through a first valve 34 and enters into an annular chamber 36, and a valve sleeve 45 is moved away from a pin 40. Compressed air flows from the annular chamber 36 to a second valve 35, the valve 35 is moved away from its abutting seal surface 44, the air passes through an air outlet opening 43 and enters into the pressure chamber of a container. After each pump stroke, valves 34, 35 of an air outlet valve V2 return to their original positions. In this way, since air is trapped between the two valves 34, 35, no liquid leaks out from the pump. |
