ANTIMICROBIAL ARTIFICIAL BLOOD VESSEL AND SUTURE YARN FOR ANTIMICROBIAL OPERATION

PURPOSE:To provide an antimicrobial artificial blood vessel which is provided with an antimicrobial property over a long period of time without impairing the porous structure, antithrombogetic property and tissue adaptability possessed by the artificial blood vessel consisting of a tubular porous material made of a synthetic resin and to provide suture yarn for antimicrobial operation which is provided with the antimicrobial property over a long period of time. CONSTITUTION:This antimicrobial artificial blood vessel is formed by winding a tube, fiber or sheet which is formed of a polymer material and is compounded with an antimicrobial material on the outside surface of the artificial blood vessel consisting of the tubular porous material made of a synthetic resin. The artificial blood vessel consists of the tube or fiber which is formed of such polymer material and is compounded with the antimicrobial material.
