PURPOSE: A method for alternating programs of a remote place transmission system through a network management system is provided to alternate a program for being alternated to subscriber units of the transmission system with a method appropriate for a Q3 interface of a communication management network, so as to connect to other systems and to transmit the alternated program as a broadcasting or to transmit the alternated program to a specific subscriber unit. CONSTITUTION: A communication management system converts a file selected by a user into a program for being alternated in a transmission system by a protocol stack for receiving a Q3 interface, and transmits the program. If the alternating program is received, the transmission system converts the alternating program into ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) data capable of being processed in a subscriber access unit, and transmits the converted program to the subscriber access unit. If the alternating program is received, the subscriber access unit allocates a temporary memory and converts a receiving file as an absolute address form. If data receptions are completed, received data is duplicated in a specific area of the memory. The duplicated data is loaded into an operation area of the memory to alternate the program with the downloaded data.
