PREPARATION METHOD OF DL-ALPHA-TOCOPHEROL IN HIGH YIELD

PURPOSE: A preparation method of DL-alpha-tocopherol in a high yield is provided, which minimizes the amount of expensive iso-phytol by improving a mixed catalytic system of Zn(II) ion and Al(III) ion without by-product. CONSTITUTION: DL-alpha-tocopherol is manufactured through condensation reaction of iso-phytol and trimethyl-hydroquinone at 80-120deg.C, for 2-7 hours by using a catalyst of Zn-Al heterogeneous system, and n-heptane as reaction solvent. The Zn(II) ion coated silica-alumina synthetic catalyst system is manufactured at 400deg.C for 2 hours through roasting and synthesizing ZnCl2 and silica-alumina. Wherein, 5-250, preferably 20-80 parts by weight of ZnCl2 based on 100 parts by weight of silica-alumina is used.
