PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an initial synchronization acquisition system that can set a correlation threshold on the basis of a noise floor, even when the noise floor is high to decrease the probability of selecting a wrong position as an object of the synchronization point, thereby increasing the probability of acquiring a signal from a mobile station. SOLUTION: A control section 12 detects the total reception power of a received digital signal from an analog/digital converter 3. The detected result is used for an initial correlation threshold, that is employed when a searcher 7 detects a synchronization position candidate. Furthermore, the control section 12 monitors the searcher 7 to re-set the initial correlation threshold, when the searcher 7 cannot detect the synchronization position candidate within a prescribed period. Moreover, the control section 12 receives a data error rate from a decoding section 11 and controls the searcher 7 to cause the synchronization position candidate to change, when the data error rate cannot reach a desired value within a prescribed time. |
