PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for more improving dyeability and fastness with an acid hair dye. SOLUTION: This pretreating agent for the acid hair dye comprises at least one kind of cationic polymer selected from the group consisting of an amine- based polymer and a quaternary ammonium group-containing polymer.
