PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium suitable for recording by CAV or ZCAV. SOLUTION: In this optical recording medium, at least a recording layer is formed on a thermosetting substrate, and a reflecting layer is provided on the recording layer, and the volume of a recording layer-composing material is changed by recording. In addition, the thickness of the film of the reflecting layer is made larger gradually toward its perimeter in the optical recording medium to which the recording and reproduction by CAV or ZCAV is executed. This optical recording medium can effectively restrain the deterioration of jitter and the increase of crosstalk in high-recording linear velocity and high- recording power. |
