An electric pulse blasting device is disclosed having an electric pulse generator, cables and a conductor, the cables being made of a highly conductive first material and the conductor made of second material having a high volume resistivity relative to the first material. The electric pulse generator is capable of generating a high amperage current sufficient to explode the conductor.
