Navigation system for boats, displays suggested route taking into account water level, depth of boat in water and swell height

Data relating to the boats position, target destination, current water level (A), depth of boat in the water (B) and swell height (C) is fed into an input device (1) on board the boat. The input device is connected to a processor (2) which carries out a two-dimensional geometric analysis of the inputted data and displays a suggested route (11) on a display device (3). The displayed route includes a window giving a graphic representation of the water to be crossed en route. The suggested route is shown as lines with a color contrasting with that of the water to be crossed.
