GLOSSY INKJET RECORDING MEDIUM AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium which ensures the availability of a successful image quality showing high glossiness and excellent ink absorbency/coloring nature, and a method for manufacturing the inkjet recording medium.

SOLUTION: This inkjet recording medium has an ink receiving layer composed mainly of vapor phase process silica laid on a support and a polymer particle dispersion applied to the surface of the ink receiving layer as a coat. The polymer particle dispersion is a styrene-acryl copolymer particle dispersion containing a (meth)acrylamide as a copolymerization component.
