ELECTRIC MOTOR WITH REDUCTION GEAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor with a reduction gear as an actuator, capable of attaining long life and high reliability and performing highly accurate initial setting and rotational position detection of an output shaft, as well as attaining size and cost reductions.

SOLUTION: This electric motor with a reduction gear as the actuator has an annular magnet 16 at a second intermediate gear 13 which is a reduction spur gear on a driving motor 22 side, and magnet pieces 18 at an output gear 14 superimposed adjacent to each other in the rotation axial direction. A first hall sensor 31 and a second hall sensor 32 attached at a substrate 21 are disposed between the second intermediate gear 13 and the output gears 14. The initial setting of the position of the output shaft 14 is performed using a magnetic detection output of the annular magnet 16 and the magnet pieces 18 detected by the first hall sensor 31 and magnetic detection output of the annular magnet 16 detected by the second hall sensor 32.
