<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide power conversion equipment that is constructed using a small number of low rated fuses and to reduce the surge voltage at semiconductor switch portions. <P>SOLUTION: A converter 10 and an inverter 20 include semiconductor switch portions 1cu, 1cv, 1cw, 1iu, 1iv, and 1iw formed by connecting a pair of arm portions in series with respect to each phase. The semiconductor switch portions 1cu, 1cv, and 1cw in the respective phases of the converter 10 are connected in parallel and in phase with the semiconductor switch portions 1iu, 1iv, and 1iw in the respective phases of the inverter 20. A common direct-current capacitor 2a is connected between parallel connection points (between P1 and N1, between P2 and N2, and between P3 and N3). Fuses 3u, 3x, 3v, 3y, 3w, and 3z are placed between the individual parallel connection points (P1 and N1, P2 and N2, and P3 and N3) and the direct-current capacitor 2a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
