<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently secure luminance of an electro-optical element without complicating the constitution of a pixel circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The pixel circuit P has gray-scale levels corresponding to an ON voltage Von or OFF voltage Voff applied to a data line 30 when a selection voltage is applied to a scanning line 20. This pixel circuit P has a transistor Tr1 which is turned ON when the ON voltage Von is applied to the gate electrode, the electro-optical element 100 connected to its source electrode, a signal supply line 40 which is supplied with a driving signal Sp0 periodically varying in level, a capacitor C1 which has an electrode E11 connected to the drain electrode of the transistor Tr1 and an electrode E12 connected to the signal supply line 40, a holding capacitor C2 having an electrode 21 connected to the gate electrode of the transistor Tr1, and a transistor Tr2 which conducts the source electrode connected to a data line 30 and the drain electrode connected to the holding capacitor C2 when the selection voltage is applied from the scanning line 20 to the gate electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
