<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authenticity identifying body capable of similarly exhibiting any effects and polarization effects, such that color changes according to viewing angles, caused by the visibility of a hologram and cholesteric liquid crystal when a cholesteric liquid crystal layer is combined on the hologram. <P>SOLUTION: This authenticity identifying body 1 is formed by laminating the cholesteric liquid crystal layer 4 on the upper surface of a laminating body of which a colored pattern layer 3 is laminated on the upper or lower surface of a transparent base material 2, and on the lower surface, a hologram forming layer 5 and a reflecting metal layer 6 along a fine rugged pattern of the hologram forming layer 5.
