<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal digital assistant in which image information is well perceived regardless of outside brightness even by a visually disabled person. <P>SOLUTION: The system comprises; a holding section; a display section having a display face for displaying information; a beam combiner; a beam combiner opening/closing member for supporting the beam combiner so as to be opened/closed to the display section; an imaging unit for imaging the same object area as an observation object area in a real visual field; and an image processing unit. The image processing unit includes the process steps of; extracting images of an object and a background, which compose an image of an object area, each as an individual object area composition image; calculating a predetermined calculation regarding characteristics of adjoining object area composition images; and processing an image for applying a predetermined image processing to an display area of the display face corresponding to at least one object area composition image of the adjoining object area composition images, when a calculated value in the calculation process step is lower than a predetermined threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
