NAVIGATION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for a vehicle capable of avoiding troublesome feeling felt in a voice guide when traveling in an area known well by a user. SOLUTION: This navigation system for the vehicle has a position detecting means for detecting the present position of the vehicle; a destination setting means for setting a destination; a route searching means for searching a guide route from the present position up to the destination; a voice guide means for guiding the guide route by a voice; a computing means for computing a distance from the present position up to the destination; and a voice guide limiting means for limiting the guide by the voice in response to reduction of the computed distance.
