PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor starting relay which responds to either type of the motor starting relay with a positive temperature coefficient thermistor incorporated, or the starting relay in which a thermostat can be connected in series to the positive temperature coefficient thermistor, for a short delivery time. SOLUTION: In the motor starting relay, a normally closed connection open switch 135 is incorporated in a casing 103, and the thermostat connected in series to the positive temperature coefficient thermistor 107 and an auxiliary block with a heating means to operate this are connected and fixed, by which the normally closed connection open switch 135 is made open, and the thermostat can be connected in series with the positive temperature coefficient thermistor 107 to provide the motor starting relay responding to for a short delivery time.
