PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a document which is highly invisible and inseparable and is adequately restored even with respect to repeated copyings. SOLUTION: When embedment information is inputted, the encode sequence group of prescribed encode sequences is generated, so as to generate encoding information, which is obtained by encoding the symbol of the embedment information through the use of the encode sequence of the encode sequence group (steps 102, 104). Then, the document data of the document, which are obtained by embedding the embedment information in the image, is generated by acquiring two-dimensional information to be an even function, when the encoding information is arranged on a two-dimensional plane, generating an embedded information image by performing inverse-Fourier transformation with respect to the two-dimensional information, and performing compositing with the image of an object document (steps 106-110).
