Method and system for transfer of digital image information in a telecommunication system, which includes a mobile network 1 and a first server 2 combined with it, a second server 3 which functions as a storage and processing location for digital images, and a terminal device 4, which is combined with the mobile network 1. In the method, a digital photograph is formed, sent and/or received with the terminal device 4 or with a separate camera 5 and the second server 3 is combined with the mobile network 1 via the first server 2.
