PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus such as a mobile computer with a wireless communication function and a mobile music reproducing apparatus that places a limit on the unnecessary execution of application programs such as an electronic mail transmission reception program and a web page circulation program, and improves the convenience of starting the application programs when the wireless communication apparatus is connected to a wireless communication network. SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus 1 such as the mobile computer with the wireless communication function and the mobile music reproducing apparatus detects identification information such as ESSID provided to the wireless communication network 100 such as a wireless LAN to identify the connected wireless communication network 100 discriminates the propriety of the implementation of the electronic mail transmission reception program, the web page circulation program, a telephone program, and a distribution data acquisition program on the basis of a result of the identification, and automatically implements an application program discriminated to be implementable.
