PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for a user to recognize a desired apparatus easily among a plurality of electronic apparatuses and to access those apparatuses instantaneously. SOLUTION: A device 102 has a profile imitating the appearance of an electronic apparatus 105 out of electronic apparatuses 104, 105 and 106 connected with a network, and equipped with a medium for storing identification information required for accessing the electronic apparatus 105. A remote controller 101 acquires the identification information from the device 102 and transmits information for designating execution of access to a display 103 along with the identification information. The display 103 requests a processing designated by the designation information by accessing the electronic apparatus 105 using the identification information and the designation information transmitted from the remote controller 101, and displays information sent in response to that request at a display section.
