PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness of an indicator, by reducing the number of sections which require clearances between parts in the indicator and other means. SOLUTION: A permanent magnet 17 of a meter part 3 has a disk shape, in which a hole is formed at its center and is magnetized in the axial direction of a center shaft 18. Magnetic domains are formed in the bottom surface of the permanent magnet 17, in such a way that an N pole may be formed on one side and that an S pole is formed on the other side. Coils 15a and 15b are wound in the same plane so as to form a surface in parallel, with the bottom surface of the permanent magnet 17 and arranged on one side of the bottom surface of the permanent magnet 17 at a prescribed distance from the permanent magnet 17. An outside spiral spring 11 and an inside spiral spring 12 are formed helically in the same plane. One ends of the spiral springs are fixed to a bridge 42, and their other ends are fixed to the coils 15. The spiral springs bias the coils 15 in the direction opposite to the swinging direction of a pointer 13 (which rotates with the coils 15 on the center shaft 18). COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
