PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk drive-destruction tool which is compact, light, easy to carry, low in cost, easy to handle, safely used irrespectively of a working environment and requires no power source. SOLUTION: A chip 4 for drilling a hole is strongly moved to the supporting surface 2 of a tool main body 3 by using a manual-type power boosting mechanism 5 for linear movement which comprises a female screw part 6 which is formed by drilling to pass through the end part 3b of the tool main body 3, a feed screw 7, and an operation handle 8. The chip 4 for drilling a hole is passed through a hard disk drive 12, and consequently the chip 4 is penetrated into the hard disk drive to destruct a hard disk 12a. A destruction operation to the hard disk drive 12 can be carried out even at a place where a power source is not available. Further, large noise, such as blow noise caused by a hammer, rotation and cutting noise caused by an electric drill, and electromagnetism do not occur, and there is no generation of powder by cutting.
