PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color display element, a color display medium, a color display device, and a color display method, which facilitate the control of intervals of a plurality of thin films and easily display the arbitrary color. SOLUTION: The color display element 10 changes the intervals of a plurality of thin films, by changing the inclination of the plurality of thin films that are disposed in parallel with each other and constitute a multilayer film 15, changes the optical path length of the light that is incident on the multilayer film 15 and is reflected inside the multilayer film 15, and displays an arbitrary color by the light interference.
