PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display medium that suppresses generation of cracks in a thin film electrode during manufacturing and use and suppresses increase in the electric resistance of a thin film electrode due to external stress or the like. SOLUTION: The image display medium 100 mostly comprises: a display layer 101; transparent first and second substrates 104, 105 having first and second transparent thin film electrodes 102, 103, respectively, disposed opposing to each other via the display layer 101; first and second extraction electrodes 106, 107 for electrical connection to the outside; and a thermoplastic film 200 covering the entire structural unit. Extended portions of the first and second thin film electrodes 102, 103 form a plurality of conductive paths including a plurality of edges of the first and second lead-out electrodes 106, 107.
