<p>The present invention relates to a motor vehicle carried warning device for safeguarding against injury to animals from the knife blades or like cutters of a cutting machine which is towed by or carried by the vehicle, such as a mowing machine having rotary cutters for cutting crops such as grass, hay or like pasture, said crops particularly being intended for ensilage. The device includes one or more IR-detectors (1) which register the movement and body heat of an animal located in front of the vehicle and send a first signal to an acoustic unit (2) which produces a sound, preferably a high frequency sound, which is frightening to the animal, and sends a second signal to an operating unit (6) in the driver's cabin of the vehicle, which activates another acoustic unit (3) which produces a sound that is audible to the human ear, and also a light unit (4), for instance an illuminating warning lamp, these units remaining activated for as long as an animal remains in front of the vehicle.</p> |
