PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a display device for an electrophoresis display device in which a structure restricting movements of small particles in electrophoretic liquid can easily be manufactured, and the electrophoresis display device which has superior display quality by using the display device obtained by the method. SOLUTION: A second substrate 6 corresponding to the left end of a filling-up part 9 of the display device has a supply hole 14 having an opening diameter larger than the diameter D1 of a droplet of electrophoretic liquid 10 in an emulsion 12, and a substrate 6 corresponding to the right end of the filling-up part 9 has a discharge hole 15 having an opening diameter smaller than the diameter D1 of a droplet 26 of electrophoretic liquid 10. Further, the interval D4 between an electrode 5 formed on an internal surface of the first substrate 4 at the filling-up part 9 and an electrode 7 formed on an internal surface of the second substrate 6 is set narrower than the diameter D1 of the droplet.
