Use of substances having oxytocin antagonistic properties for the preparatioin of a medicament for treating hypertension

Disclosed is a composition comprising barusiban or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for use in the treatment of hypertension relating to pregnancy, pre-eclampsia, intrauterine growth retardation (IGUR), hyperfusion of the foetus, pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH), toxaemia, HELLP syndrome or eclampsia. Also disclosed is a use of said composition.
