PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide voice recording and playback techniques for reproducing recorded voice for desired proceeding contents selectively in a telephone conference system. SOLUTION: A telephone conference system configured by connecting to an IP network an IP telephone terminal for transmitting/receiving packetized encoded voice information is provided with a storage server which is connected to the IP network and stores encoded voice information. The IP telephone terminal comprises a marker adding means for producing marker information to be added to the encoded voice information in arbitrary timing and when marker information is produced, the encoded voice information is recorded in the storage server along with network address information, time information and the marker information. Furthermore, the IP telephone terminal comprises a subject selecting means and voices are played back from the encoded voice information recorded in the storage server while using only the encoded voice information with marker information corresponding to a subject selected by the discussion subject selecting means.
