PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device which enables the assurance of the cooling performance of a sheet-like object to be heated. SOLUTION: The surface of a heat sink 20 is made contact with the inner circumference surface of a stretched part 14T which is stretched by a thermal transfer roller and a driving roller in a middle transfer belt 14. Many air vents 32 are formed in an air vent forming part 20A which is the contact surface with the stretched part 14T of the heat sink 20, and negative pressure is generated in the air vent 32 by a fan 28. Thereby, the adhesion of the middle transfer belt 14 with the heat sink 20 is enhanced, and then the cooling performance of the middle transfer belt 14 obtained with the heat sink 20 is assured.
