MULTI-MEDIA COLLABORATION NETWORK

The present invention is addressed to a multi-media collaboration network which permits the development and sharing of data and video in real time over a common system. The system is established by a series of operating centers, preferably one in each city, which perform all the control functions necessary for data sharing and video sharing in each city. The operating centers are in turn linked together so that users in any one city can access a global network of users linked to the system. The operating centers are designed to be flexible, so that different types of clients requiring different levels of service can connect to the overall network. The system is also designed to permit administrative control of the entire network, and to permit users at one location to remotely control data and video equipment of other users in other locations.
