FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed invention pertains to organic chemistry, more specifically to the method of producing N,N-dimethyl-3-phenyl-2-propyne-1-amine. The method involves reacting phenylacetylene with excess bisamine in the presence of a vanadyl acetylacetonate catalyst (VO(acac)2) in an argon atmosphere at 85°C temperature and atmospheric pressure for a period of 4-8 hours.
