PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stable drive transmission from a first development sleeve to a second development sleeve by exerting stable pressure on the first and second development sleeve. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a photosensitive drum 1; a developing container 3 storing developer; the pair of first and second development sleeves 10 and 11 disposed opposite to the photosensitive drum 1. The first development sleeve 10 is fixed to a development container 3. The second development sleeve 2 is supported by the first development sleeve 10 so as to be swingable. A timing belt 25 is extended between the first development sleeve 10 and the second development sleeve 11, thereby transmitting the drive force of the first development sleeve 10 to the second development sleeve 11.
