PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the service life of a developer carrier, without damaging a carrying member due to the aggregation of waste toner. SOLUTION: The developer carrier includes a storage portion for storing developer; the carrying member formed of an elastic material and disposed in the storage portion to be freely rotatable for carrying the developer upon rotating; and a rotation transmission member for transmitting a rotation to the transportation member. The carrying member includes an abutting portion abutting against a wall portion 87 of the storage portion when the carrying member rotates. Since the carrying member includes the abutting portion abutting against the wall portion 87 of the storage portion when the carrying member rotates, when the carrying member is rotated, the abutting portion abuts against the wall portion 87, to generate vibration and break and peel the aggregation of the developer formed on the inwall of the wall portion 87.
