PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system for efficiently managing setting information, and an information processing method.SOLUTION: An information processing system 1 includes an operation section 20 for receiving an operation input, and a body section 10 which operates in response to the operation input. The operation section 20 includes a first setting management section 126 which transmits first setting information formed by integrating setting information of each of one or more operation-section applications that run on the operation section 20, to the body section.
