PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corn harvester made compact for an installation space for installing a hydraulic cylinder to move up and down in a residual culm treating device.SOLUTION: A corn harvester comprises: a harvesting part for performing a harvesting treatment in accordance with a machine body travel; a residual culm treating device 9 supported to rise up and down with respect to the machine body for clipping processing the residual culm left on a farm field after the harvesting treatment; and a hydraulic cylinder 91 for operating to move up and down the residual culm treating device 9. The hydraulic cylinder 91 includes: a cylinder tube 91A and a cylinder rod 91B for moving toward and away from the cylinder tube 91A. The cylinder tube 91A is so supported on the airframe as is positioned above the cylinder rod 91B, and the cylinder rod 91B is so connected to the residual culm treating device 9 as to protrude downward from the cylinder tube 91A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13 |
