The invention relates to an electromechanical striker (1) which essentially comprises a catch, intended to form an obstacle for a latch bolt (5) of a door lock, the catch (4) being mounted so as to move on the frame (2) between two extreme positions and has one face for the bearing of the latch bolt (5) and one face for the bearing of a face (6A) of a movable latching piece (6), which is itself controlled by the electrical motor means (3), this striker being characterised in that it comprises: - a first mechanical means (8), called the first means (8), which, following the movement of the latching piece (6) through the effect of an electrical motor means (3), into a so-called set-back position, keeps the said latching piece (6) in this position and, - a second mechanical means (9), called the second means (9), which, on the one hand, during the movement of the catch (4) from a primary position to a secondary position, releases the latching piece (6) from the action of the said first means (8) and, on the other hand, during the return of the catch (4) into its primary position, ensures that the latching piece (6) comes back into the position for locking the catch (4). <IMAGE>
